"[They] gave my cat to someone else": Hopeful cat lover wished for a tuxedo kitten, rescued one days later, and took it to the shelter to check for an owner—then the shelter gave it away by mistake

Good meowrning, fam. We think we can all safely say by now that the Cat Distribution System is a pawsitively flawless operation.

However, the CDS can't account for hooman errors as well. And we all know how crazy people can be. From demanding your cat back after abandoning them for five years to raising lion cubs, you just never know what a purrson is going to do next. And even when you think you do, they can make a mistake and ruin everything, like in the post below.

This cat lover fell purrfectly in love with their roommate's cat, and it inspired her to want a fur baby of her own. Like the CDS was listening, it presented them with a tiny tuxedo kitten a few days later. They took it to the shelter to make sure it wasn't someone else's cat that had gone missing, and made it clear that if it wasn't, they wanted to adopt them. Well, things went south because of one simple mistake…
